SIMULTAN FestivalSIMULTAN Festival’s 2025 screening program presents a curated selection of 36 experimental films and moving image works from international artists, exploring this year’s theme Re:MEDIATE. The diverse program features works ranging from 1 to 15 minutes in length, created between 2020-2025.

Theme Exploration
The Re:MEDIATE theme connects these experimental works through contemporary explorations of mediation, technology, memory, and transformation in our digital age. The program reflects diverse artistic approaches to understanding how we relate to and through various media in contemporary culture.

SIMULTAN Festival continues to champion experimental cinema and moving image art, providing a platform for innovative artistic voices from around the globe.
This online exhibition presents 14 works exploring Sense of Wonder in the post-digital context as a creative and procedural strategy. These works foster new perceptions beyond mere surprise or curiosity while challenging cultural heritages and the material limits of computational media.
We invite you to explore a diverse range of possibilities within multimedia and art coding designed by artists, academics, researchers, and practitioners, reimagining and reflecting on Wonder.

The event will take place on May 24th during Berlin Blockchain Week 2024. In w3.hub in Berlin, KodaDot will participate in the Onchain Art Day Exhibition. The goal of the event is to connect artists, collectors, enthusiasts, and crypto peeps. We are preparing a rich program full of exciting speakers, interesting projects, and key players in the art scene in Berlin.
The exhibition is curated by Koda, Office Impart, and other participants.
Outliers, as a concept, prompts a reflection on what defines an outlier. What distinguishes one artist, or one artwork, as an outlier over another? What does it even mean to identify someone as an outlier: is everyone not inherently unique, and does the marketplace not determine what stands apart?

Access to the gallery
In the current context of constant search for innovation, there is a proliferation of computational solutions that claim to be innovative but often hide technological heritage and appropriations. Given this, the RECODE theme emerges as an opportunity to discuss computational approaches that point to issues of the current maker culture without disregarding its historical path. After all, how can our creative work favor a more expressive and dialogical post-digital ecology?

In 2022 Design in Motion Festival takes over the Netherlands! DEMO Festival will be visible on more than 5000 screens, including train stations, metros, shopping centers, Schiphol Airport, Eindhoven Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport, on billboards along major highways, and in the streets.
